The most common ways volunteers support the District are:
While we ask volunteers to commit to one hour a week, we welcome those interested in volunteering more than once a week. If you're interested, let the classroom teacher or school secretary know of your availability.
BACKGROUND CHECK
All volunteers are required to complete a background check through the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and Illinois State Police before they begin working with students. Forms are available at each school and in the District office at 1900 W. Monroe. Please complete your form and return to your school's secretary. You will be notified when your background check is complete.
