Southeast High School Sports Medicine Club

The mission of the Sports Medicine Club is to provide high school students with the education and hands on experience needed in order to prepare them for their future in the field of sports medicine. The Sports Medicine Club gives students the opportunity to participate in lectures and job shadowing with some of the top sports medicine professionals in the area.

Sports Medicine Professionals include:
* Orthopedic Surgeons
* Sports Medicine Physicians
* Athletic Trainers
* Physical Therapists
* Occupational Therapists
* Physician Assistants
* Chiropractors

You can find licensed athletic trainers providing health care in a variety of settings including high school and collegiate athletics, rehabilitation clinics, physician clinics, professional athletics, and industry, to name a few. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities.
