Spartan Club/PTO is looking for a few people to complete the following committees: Teacher appreciation, Trivia, Grants, and After Prom. If you would be interested in heading a committee or just helping out on one, come to our first Spartan Club meeting on September 13, at 6:00 pm in the SSHS library.

Please consider becoming a parent who is involved in their child's high school years as they go by so quickly.

Spartan Club meets the 2nd Monday of each month. It is a great way to get to know other parents and the inner workings of the school.

Spartan Club granted $3,800 to teachers for this 2010-11 school year.

Spartan Club is Southeast's parent-teacher organization (PTO). Spartan Club funds go back into our classrooms. We fund teacher grants for the school year, extras that the teachers might need for their classroom or students. Maybe it's extra copies of a book, or improving their classroom with new books, tapes, supplies or educational items. This school year we gave over $3,800 back to our classrooms!

Spartan Club also treats the teachers and staff to a back to school breakfast and end of the year luncheon. We appreciate all they do for our children throughout the year.

One of the biggest events we fund is After Prom. This event provides our students a safe, alcohol free place to go after the dance. This year we have booked Laketown Lanes for unlimited bowling, food, prizes and fun—for free to any student who has a prom ticket.

BUT we can't do it all without the parents help! Come join us for a meeting, it's a great way to get involved in your child's high school education.
