Ridgely Elementary School's

Electronic Alumni Day

On Saturday, April 29, the students and staff of Ridgely Elementary School celebratedits 100 year anniversary and Alumni Day with an open house. On display were artifacts from the recently opened time capules from 1900 and 1912, as well as memorabilia and photgraphs from alumni and century projects made by Ridgely students.See pictures from that festive day by clicking on the Alumni Day 2000 link below.

On Wednesday, April 26, 2000, the students and staff at Ridgely Elementary School hosted a ceremony to remove and open the two timecapsules from their building. The timecapule from 1900 was removed during the ceremony. The 1912 timecapsule had previously been removed from the building (on Friday, Apirl 14, 2000). The contents of both were divulged and displayed during the ceremony and were then put on display for viewing during the school's Alumni Day on Saturday, April 29, 2000.
