Lawrence Education Center offers high school courses leading to a diploma, along with GED prep, ESL, and the School of Business program.

The Lawrence Education Center Graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at Springfield High School**, at 7:00 pm.
Graduating students should arrive at Springfield High School starting at 5:30 to check in and were fitted for their cap and gown. There will be about 200 graduates with 91 receiving their High School diploma and 90 GED recipients.

Stephens Amendment
The Lawrence Education Center's educational program is 30% federally funded in the amount of $242,547. The program is funded by the Illinois Community College Board.
The Springfield School District 186 is pleased to offer the Summer Food Service Program to anyone 18 years and younger. Free meals will be served at breakfast and lunch.
The program will be available at 8 different locations.

General Education Development Preparation (GED)
High School Diploma Program (HSC)
English as a Second Language Program (ESL)
Paperwork, testing, orientation and scheduling are done on a walk-in basis for high school credit, G.E.D. preparation, and English as a Second Language. 16 and 17 year olds must bring a Permit to Enter and a guardian/parent.
Registration is available on the following days and times: Mondays from 8:30-11:30; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30-6:00. There is no registration on Fridays.
Registration will end for the summer break on May 25, 2012, and will resume in August.
