Lottery News for 2012-2013
LOTTERY UPDATE FOR 2012-2013
New student applications will be accepted beginning Monday, January 2, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year for students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade. Applications can be picked up in the school office or downloaded from this website. All applications received before the January 31, 2012 deadline will be placed in a lottery and names will be chosen during the month of February. Families will be notified the first week in March if they had been accepted. All other applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
New applications will still be accepted after the deadline in the school office and will be placed on the waiting list after those applicants from the Lottery.
Please fill out this form and return to the SBCS Office.
Please feel free to review the attached Stakeholder Pledge and Letter from Mrs. Gales. We are excited to increase awareness of the expectation of all of us involved in our students' education.
Parent Visitation Reminder
All parents, volunteers, and visitors to Springfield Ball Charter School are to sign-in at the main office and must wear a visitors badge while in the building. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
Weatherbug is Here!
Check out our WeatherBug Camera and tune in to WCIA news for Weather updates from SBCS!

Please take a moment to fill out our school wide Parent Survey for the 2011-2012 school year. We look forward to hearing your opinions and ideas about our school. Thank you in advance.
Why we are relooking at multiage at Ball Charter:
To explore the creation of different multiage combinations, which may be more developmentally appropriate for our students (i.e. 5th grade as elementary instead of middle school) and allow us to develop multiage across more levels (K/1) while also supporting and building other focus areas.
To provide an opportunity to be innovative in our approach to multiage education and at the same time continue to refine, build upon, and improve our literacy practices as we study/implement them (i.e. through professional learning and practical experience) at a new level or with a new combination of students.
To explore additional opportunities for teaching and assessment in our focus area of math, in light of various needs of math learners, increased math assessments, and new Common Core State Standards.
