Unfortunately the Illinois Governmental Internship Program cannot be offered for the 2009-2010 school year due to its funding being eliminated in the Fiscal Year 2010 Budget for the Illinois State Board of Education. Facing an historic deficit for the fiscal year 2010, the Illinois General Assembly and the Governor have recently cut billions of dollars from next year’s budget, which unfortunately included the funding for the IGIP.
